Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Spine Society of Odisha, it gives us immense pleasure to organise the Instructional Course Spine(ICS) at Hotel Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar from 3^rd to 5^th November 2022.

This National Conference by the parent body, Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI) is being organised in association with Odisha Orthopaedic Association and in collaboration with Cervical Spine Research Society Asia Pacific(CSRS - AP).This time, theme of the conference selected as ‘Cervical Spine’ is exclusively designed for the Spine Surgeons, Orthopaedicians, Neurosurgeons, post graduate and fellow students to keep them updated in the rapidly developing field of Spine Surgery. Our endeavour will be to feature interactive lectures stressing on basic sciences to recent advances. The faculties invited to this conference are of International repute and experts in their respective fields. The academic sessions will include lectures, clinical case discussions to modern managements and what is new. Participants will be given ample opportunity to interact with the faculties. There is also provision of post-conference cadaveric and live workshops which will be helpful especially for the young practising spine surgeons.

Known as the “Temple City”, Bhubaneswar has a unique position by virtue of the ability to seamlessly integrate its rich cultural heritage with a strong regional economic base. Founded during the Kalinga empire over 3,000 years ago, Bhubaneswar today boasts of a cluster of magnificent temples, constituting a complete record of Odisha temple architecture from its early beginnings to its culmination. The city is well connected by air and rail with all the major cities of India. Important tourist places like Puri, Konark and Chilka Lake are also not far away.
